back from hiatus

We went to Ireland, then had PTC, then got busy planning for....our wedding!  We got engaged in Ireland in the town of Kilkenny.  It was a surprise and I'm pretty sure I am the luckiest girl in the world!

So back to blogging, to myself, since no one reads this anyways! 

A few things coming up:

  • Must find a house.  I really, really want to have a house by summer.  Actually it is now a need.  And as much as I love The Captain, I am starting to lose my patience with the search for his "perfect" house.
  • Plan a wedding that we are essentially paying for.  My mother, who has always been incredibly frugal and not one for celebrating, informed me that she is giving us $2,000 for our wedding.  Now, I don't want to sound ungrateful, and I have never wanted an over-the-top wedding, but I thought I'd have about $5,000 to work with. 
  • Complete the Whole 30.  In an effort to reduce pain in my joints I'm hoping by cutting out most foods I can figure out what in the hell is causing all my joint pain.  Then I can start running again.  And then reach my goal of losing 15 pounds by June.

On Tuesday I did a crossfit workout.  Don't remember which one.

Yesterday I ran 1.2 miles.  My feet felt pretty good.

Today I did the filthy 50 at LPD.  Except we only did 25.  Great workout, I finished in 19:17.  Whoo Hoo!  I felt strong.  If only the belly flab would go away.  I guess the mac-n-cheese I'm about to eat could be part of that problem...

I need to remember how good working out feels after I'm done.  Did not want to go again.  Once I was there, it felt great.  Now that I'm home I'm once again in a great mood and feel tired and my muscles are a little sore.  Both are great feelings!

I felt really good running but my right ankle started to get a little sore so I switched to the bike.
